The present 'Supplement to the Catalogue of the Arabic Manuscripts in the British Museum' by Charles Rieu (1820–1902), Swiss orientalist and Keeper of Oriental Manuscripts at the 'British Museum Library', provides information on Eduard Glaser's collection of Arabic Manuscripts brought together in the course of his third journey to Yemen (October 1887 - September 1888).
A total of 328 Arabic Manuscripts (Or. 3717-4044) was acquired by the British Museum on July 13th, 1889. This collection is almost entirely confined to Zaydī literature. (p. vii)
